This arrangement of the traditional hymn requires the performer to have two tenor pan mallets and two light nylon brushes (such as the Innovative Percussion BR-1). Portions of the piece require the performer to hold a mallet and brush in one hand in order to perform the melody with the mallet and harmony with the brush. Another unique feature of the piece is the utilization of brushes in order to provide a strong rhythmic accompaniment which contrasts the simplicity of the melody.
