Tres Case was written for the Orquestra Sinfonia Cristiana del Ecuador beginning percussion ensemble in Guayaquil, Ecuador in July 2018. This piece was written during the composer’s residency in Guayaquil and was intended to provide the members of the beginning percussion ensemble with a work in which the three parts could contain several players according to the ensemble size. The parts were originally written for the instruments most readily available during the composer’s residency in Ecuador.
